Byldis Facades has started work on a special project, namely The Terraced Tower in Rotterdam. It will be one of the most innovative and highest buildings in this metropolis! A really special terraced building.

The challenges of this project

The challenge of this project is that almost every floor is different due to the offset lines, making every residence unique. We solved this by designing lots of different facades in various different sizes. A great job for our Engineering department. Byldis Facades has been commissioned by Besix NL as the facade builder for this project. Together with the Wicona and Sapa systems, we will design, supply and install the aluminium curtain walls, sliding doors and frames. Production is already underway in our factory in Veldhoven and we will install the fronts and curtain walls on the construction site in Rotterdam at the end of November. The homes will be built on top of each other in a perfectly harmonious way, which WICONA calls “happily stacked”.
