Byldis is responsible for the prefabrication of the new RIVM/CBG building
Rapidly completed, wind and watertight
"They don’t hang around here, because there’s a new floor added every two weeks", according to project director Huub Klaassen. Each floor consists of concrete facade panels that have already been fitted with glass! Four elements are delivered to the construction site by lorry and fitted every day.
Thanks to the full precast solution, the complete structure of the tower was quickly completed, making the facade immediately wind and watertight. A special element is the second skin facade that runs in front of the sandwich elements. The project is proceeding on schedule and the building will be made available to the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and the Medicines Evaluation Board (CBG) at the end of 2021.
