Legoland Discovery Centre

Byldis completed the Legoland Discovery Centre project in Scheveningen in 2019. The architect, Filip Mens (of Architectenbureau Filip Mens), told Byldis that he was very happy with the result.

The Legoland Discovery Centre (LLDC) in Scheveningen is an indoor Lego playground, located on the Middenboulevard. The Legoland Discovery Centre building, with a catering pavilion above it, has replaced the former Vitalizee that was demolished to make place for a 3000-square-meter basement for the LLDC.

Byldis contribution

For this project, Byldis was responsible for the precast pillars on the ground floor as well as the partially curved precast facade strip on the first floor of both the LLDC and the catering areas. A colour aggregate was incorporated into the precast elements.

Architect Filip Mens on the result delivered by Byldis

Architect Filip Mens is very satisfied with the result created by the concrete supplied by Byldis. Mens told us he was very happy with how the colour of the precast concrete has turned out. “It is just perfect, how you supplied the elements.”

The Legoland Discovery Centre in Scheveningen is expected to open its doors in the second quarter of this year.
