1. The project: Head office SAP ‘s-Hertogenbosch

Software supplier SAP Nederland moved into its new head office in ‘s-Hertogenbosch in 2008. The building has eight storeys, including half a floor for parking facilities. SAP is a market leader in the field of business applications and thereby helps organisations to undergo digital transformations, create new opportunities for innovation and growth and to stay ahead of the competition. SAP delivers software for every line of business.

2. Byldis contribution to this project

Byldis contribution: The production, supply and installation of all aluminum frames and the atrium roof.

3. Why was Byldis Facades chosen?

Byldis Facades was chosen for the SAP head office project because we were able to come up with a water and airtight project solution for installing the window behind the natural stone directly to the concrete inner leaf without the use of a subframe.

"The main challenge with this project was the large atrium roof."

4. Challenges & solutions

The atrium roof
The main challenge with this project was the large atrium roof. It has a special screen printing on the glass in order to reduce solar heat gain. The angle of inclination is three degrees, which is far below the standard of many system casings. Byldis Facades devised special profiles with an internal drainage system in order to be able to guarantee that it would be wind and watertight. The connections of the atrium roof were particularly crucial.
