Agreement of intent between Byldis and Heijmans for construction of new residential complex on the TU/e campus.

Heijmans and Byldis have drawn up an agreement of intent for the realisation of the precast supporting structure and the precast facade elements, including the facades and curtain walls of two residential towers for the TU/e campus! Together, we will realise this accommodation for 735 students, for housing corporation Woonbedrijf.

Now that Stichting Woonbedrijf SWS Hhvl, Heijmans and architect VenhoevenCS have been granted the assignment, Byldis will join the design team to generate a budget-controlled design for the precast supporting structure and facade so that they meet the quality demands of the TU/e and fall within the financial and aesthetic framework of the project.

Two residential towers and student village

The plan consists of two residential towers (accommodation for 653 students) with a low-rise building in between (accommodation for 82 students) on the TU/e campus. The project is part of the TU/e’s campus vision and will ultimately form a vibrant community for the Dutch and international students, with green surroundings and a high level of comfort. The first partial delivery of the construction is planned to start in the academic year 2023-2024.
