Byldis started construction on Holiday Inn Hotel in Almere

Byldis began assembly of the precast construction for the Holiday Inn Hotel in Almere in late January 2020. In early April we started construction from the 1^st floor of the hotel. It is expected that assembly will be completed at the end of June this year.

Holiday Inn Hotel Almere

The hotel on the Baltimore square will have no less than 160 hotel rooms and 16 rental apartments and is over 7 storeys high. The Noordeinde side will house commercial spaces on the ground floor, and hospitality facilities on the same level will face out towards the square on the other side.

Design

The design by OZ architect has a precast sandwich masonry outer facade and is designed entirely in precast concrete. The aluminium frames from Byldis Facades are built into the sandwich elements in the Byldis Prefab factory. This makes the facade wind and watertight and means that the architectural finishing of the hotel can begin shortly after assembly of the construction.
