Post X in sixth edition of Gevelbouw

Post X in Antwerp is mentioned in the sixth edition (year 16 - number 6) of Gevelbouw, a magazine about facades, glass and roofs. The Gevelbouw magazine is published six times a year, and each edition highlights different themes relating to facade construction.

Post X

At Post X, a total surface area of no less than 130,000 m² is distributed over nine buildings. Most of the buildings will be used primarily as offices. One of the buildings will also become the head office of the local police in Antwerp.

Post X is a project in which sustainability and circularity play an important role. These offices will actually use half as much as standard office buildings. Byldis Facades produced and supplied the facades for this project.

Gevelbouw

The following is written about Post X in the sixth edition of Gevelbouw:

“Post X is one of the largest passive office building projects in Belgium. It thereby takes all parameters into account, from orientation and glazing ratios to the applied techniques, such as concrete core activation. The construction consists of a plinth that connects all the buildings, with the offices located above it.
This project was realised by Hydro, together with Byldis Facades. For this master plan, Hydro made highly insulating project profiles that are far above current standards, without resorting to extreme profiles. This project focuses on circularity. Hydro has made new windows from existing ones that have already had a life.”
