Stefan about what he loves about his job at Byldis

Those days that the most unlikely surprises everyone!

This is not a post about our Tekla engineering, the fabrication of our great products or the amazing projects we work on! That will come soon again. This post is about recognition, admiration of your colleagues for the work they do with passion and expertise, and above all being kind. It doesn't matter what position you are in or where you come from. If you respect each other and are also interested in the person and their work, then horizons open up. Only then, can the unlikely become possible!

So too recently, what I am now sharing with you. I must be honest that in the last 12 months these colleagues have become almost fused to the Computer and the IFC files, in order to do their job even better. Not a common situation that the welders in the rebar shop are almost inseparable with the computer. It's a process that has come naturally because it just works!

What we are now asking of them is to look at our reinforcement IFC files from a different program, a program that in our case offers more leads. Of course there is resistance, but eventually the question came from the shop floor to provide an instruction...

YES, of course, me happy. We're going to do this! With the right preparation and instruction, a 12 page document with one screenshot on each page, we had a great 60 minute session. And where better to do it than in the natural work environment. The photographs speak for themselves.

I love these days, enjoy a great weekend.

Stay Safe!

Stefan Kauffeld.

But wait... there's more!

In "BIM blog", Stefan Kauffeld talks about his work as an informationmanager at Byldis. As well as a passion for his work, he also loves describing his observations. Want to read all the blogs? Go to BIM blog.
