Byldis commissioned by Bakels en Ouwerkerk Bouwgroep to build a new, multicultural funeral centre: Yardenhuis. It will be the very first multicultural funeral centre in Amsterdam.
The Yardenhuis has been completely designed together with people from various different cultures, religions, backgrounds and communities in southeast Amsterdam. The project fulfils a long-cherished desire of residents, management of district Southeast and Yarden. The multicultural funeral centre will become a place where all communities will be able to say goodbye to their loved ones according to their own beliefs and funeral rituals.
