Three new wind farms
TenneT and BAM Infra Nederland have jointly realised a land station in Wijk aan Zee, consisting of the land station Hollandse Kust Noord and the 380kv switching station Wijk aan Zee. These stations are intended to connect three new wind farms in the North Sea to the Netherlands' high-voltage grid.

1. The project: Landstation Hollandse Kust Noord, Wijk aan Zee

TenneT and BAM Infra Nederland have jointly realised a land station in Wijk aan Zee, consisting of the land station Hollandse Kust Noord and the 380kv switching station Wijk aan Zee. These stations are intended to connect three new wind farms in the North Sea to the Netherlands' high-voltage grid.

2. Byldis contribution to this project

For Byldis, the project consisted of the free delivery of prefab sandwich insulated façade elements, prefabricated internal walls and hollow-core slabs. To create a kind of wood grain structure in the façade, Noeplast textured mats were used in the production of the sandwich elements. As the schedule was all-important, intensive cooperation with the construction team took place during the engineering process.

Some details:

  • Some elements were 7 metres high and thus had to be transported tilted.
  • During the preliminary phase, the extensive sampling process was carried out to arrive at the desired mixture composition.
  • Roxtec cable grommets were incorporated into the elements to ensure the grommets met the desired requirements.
  • Due to the high voltage on the project, all elements were earthed by means of earth rods and earth plates.
