Tribute Hotel in ’s-Hertogenbosch will be a 5-star hotel (approx. 160 rooms) with two restaurants, of which one is a rooftop restaurant, various conference facilities and a gym. The new hotel Tribute by Marriott International is being built in the Paleiskwartier, the hypermodern inner-city area of 's-Hertogenbosch, directly adjoining the city centre and the central station. The building will be an impressive 60 metres high.
2. Byldis contribution to this project
Byldis contribution: we are supplying approx. 300 facade elements and all the floors and internal walls for the Tribute Hotel ’s-Hertogenbosch. From the second storey onwards (hotel rooms) the entire hull will be built in precast concrete.
3. Why was Byldis chosen?
An important reason for choosing Byldis’ precast panels for the Tribute Hotel ’s-Hertogenbosch project is the construction time. We are able to construct the building, from start to finish, in just 135 days. A deciding factor was the proven added value of the Byldis total concept. As everything is delivered ready-made, including frames, windows and outer facade, a building can be constructed much faster. Our construction method means that these buildings can be constructed in a little over half the time needed for a traditional construction process.
4. Challenges & solutions
The construction site
The challenge for us with this project is that the Tribute Hotel ’s-Hertogenbosch is being built alongside the existing paleis bridge. The hotel will be built up against it. This also makes accessibility more difficult. The tight construction site means that the crane only just fits on site. A challenge for Byldis to build here.
Masonry
Two different kinds of brick will be used in the masonry work, with a complicated masonry pattern. A special mould has been made for these facade elements. The bricks will be set back, so that the pattern deviates from a standard pattern.

6. Footage
In production, the storey-high elements are assembled in a u-shape and fitted with glass and panels. These elements are placed completely by crane on the building site. In this way, a building can be made glass-tight very quickly and completion can start earlier. The during construction photos were taken on 21 April 2021:
